Laboratory of Applied Research to Distributed Systems (PASID)

Since its launch in 2017 at the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI), the Laboratory of Applied Research to Distributed Systems (PASID) has become a hub of innovation in computer networks and distributed computing. Our team pioneers breakthrough techniques in performance evaluation, crafting precise analytical models for real-time Internet of Things platforms, e-Health infrastructures, vehicular ad-hoc networks, smart city solutions, and unmanned aerial vehicle communications.

Driven by a spirit of collaboration, PASID forges strong partnerships across Brazil—working closely with UFRPE, UFC, UPE, UFPE, and the Brazilian Army—and connects globally with institutions such as Dublin City University, Aalborg University, the American International University of Bangladesh, Porto University, Sapienza University of Rome, and Helsinki University. Through these alliances, PASID accelerates cutting-edge research and delivers impactful solutions to the worldwide distributed systems community.
